"The Walworth Road"

Home to one of the oldest English markets in the country, the Walworth Road area is undergoing a massive regeneration programme which threatens to wipe out whatever remains of the traditional way of life in the area. This project aimed to capture the idiosyncratic character of the place, its disappearing customs, the vernacular, the elderly with their stories and their memories and to explore notions of time, loss and identity.
